We successfully delivered a modern two-level commercial development in Rangiora using efficient tilt-slab construction techniques. 

 

Key Project Details:

  • Scale: Approximately 800–1,200 m² of functional commercial space 

  • Project Value: $2.5M – $6.0M 

  • Our Role: Provided comprehensive on-site leadership, including labour supply, full subcontractor coordination, and site safety management.

Through strategic construction sequencing and proactive planning, we achieved significant cost efficiencies while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. The project was completed on time and within budget, delivering excellent value for the client and a high-quality facility ready for long-term commercial use.This project showcases our capability in managing mid-sized commercial builds with complex coordination requirements in a regional New Zealand setting.

Grace Vineyard Earthquake Strengthening and Remodel


Seismic Upgrade and Atrium Enhancement – Live Operational FacilityWe delivered a complex seismic strengthening project combined with a significant atrium remodel to an existing, fully operational vineyard and events venue. 

 

Key Project Details:

  • Scope: Structural earthquake strengthening throughout the building plus new atrium works, including architectural and MEP upgrades 

  • Project Value: $1.5M – $3.0M 

  • Our Role: Provided early-stage design input during the concept and consenting phases, then took full responsibility for on-site project management, subcontractor coordination, and live-site construction delivery.

Working within a busy operational environment required meticulous planning to minimise disruption to daily wine production, events, and public access. Through value-engineering redesigns and intelligent construction staging, we achieved meaningful cost reductions while meeting stringent seismic performance requirements and delivering a high-quality, modernised atrium space.The project was completed on programme and under budget, ensuring the facility remained safe, compliant, and fully functional throughout the works. 

Eminence Drive, Belfast Residential Development


Four-Unit Low-Energy Townhouses. We delivered a high-quality, four-unit residential townhouse development in Belfast, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable building practices. 

 

Key Project Details:

  • Scope: Complete design, resource consent management, full construction delivery, and handover of four modern townhouses featuring low-energy systems 

  • Project Value: $1.8M – $2.8M 

  • Our Role: End-to-end project management, including early design input, consenting coordination, subcontractor oversight, site supervision, and final completion.

This project was successfully completed on budget and on programme despite significant challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, including supply chain disruptions and workforce constraints. A key focus was achieving superior energy performance through intentional material and system selectionsThis development demonstrates our ability to deliver residential projects with a sustainability-first approach, while maintaining tight cost and programme control under difficult external conditions.

Well Church 
Renovation

Conversion of Former League Clubrooms 

 

We transformed an existing league clubrooms building into a modern, functional church space through targeted renovation and structural upgrades, preserving as much of the original structure as possible to control costs.

 

Key Project Details:

  • Scope: Full internal refurbishment, structural strengthening (including large anchor piles beneath the existing timber floor), roof section replacements, and fit-out for new church use

  • Our Role: Provided on-site project management, cost control, and construction leadership; collaborated closely with engineers to develop practical, low-risk solutions; our team handled all physical works while I oversaw planning, coordination, and budgeting

  • Project Scale: Small to mid-scale community refurbishment

Key challenges included excavating and installing large anchor piles through unknown ground conditions under an occupied timber floor, plus unexpected roof replacement needs discovered during works. We addressed these pragmatically, using a sucker truck for safe, efficient pile excavation that eliminated major hazards and removed all spoil in one process, significantly reducing risk and disruption.

 

The outcome is a durable, long-term community space that balances heritage reuse with modern safety and functionality requirements.

Kaipoi Country Church Rebuild

New Church Building Integrated with Existing Hall

 

We constructed a new church facility on a rural site in Kaiapoi, seamlessly connecting it to an existing hall at the rear to create a cohesive community and worship space. 

 

Key Project Details:

  • Scope: Full construction of a new building including driven timber pile foundations, concrete floor slab, and brick-clad exterior, with precise integration to the existing hall 

  • Our Role: Supplied all on-site manpower for the build; collaborated closely with the designer throughout pre-construction and construction phases to meet the budget constraints and achieve the agreed design brief 

  • Project Scale: Small to mid-scale community facility

The project required exact alignment of the new floor level with the existing hall, careful foundation design using driven timber piles for stability, and material choices that prioritised long-term durability and low maintenance. 

 

Through hands-on construction leadership, proactive problem-solving, and tight coordination with the designer, we delivered a high-quality, integrated building that functions efficiently for worship and community activities.

 

The project was completed successfully delivering a durable, practical, and aesthetically pleasing addition that enhances the site’s long-term value for the congregation.

New Build

New Church Facility Replacement


We delivered a new, purpose-built church facility replacing an outdated hall, creating a contemporary space for worship and community use. 

 

Key Project Details:

  • Scope: Type 2B suspended timber floor on concrete raft foundation, with simple form and clean roof line for efficient construction 

  • Our Role: Early involvement for design simplification, full pricing, engineer liaison, consent application, and complete construction delivery to handover 

  • Project Scale: Mid-scale community facility

The project demanded careful coordination from pre-construction planning right through to final construction and commissioning.

 

Key challenges included delivering a large, open-plan meeting space within a tightly constrained budget, while addressing site-specific seismic considerations and maintaining strict scope and cost control under an insurance-funded framework. 

 

Through proactive early involvement, value-focused design decisions, and disciplined project management, we achieved excellent outcomes.

 

The project was completed on time and within budget, delivering a safe, modern, and structurally compliant facility that fully meets the client’s liturgical and community requirements.
